Problem Note 51397: SAS/ACCESS® Interface to DB2 RRS facility authentication does not work when you are running the SAS® 9.4 TS1M0 SVC
The SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 RRS authentication, which uses the client's user ID rather than the SAS server's user ID, does not work in any release of SAS if the SAS server is using the SAS 9.4 TS1M0 SVC.
To correct this problem, install a later release of the SAS SVC:
- Click
here to download an XMIT file containing a later SAS 9.4 SVC for z/OS operating environments.
- When the prompt appears, click Save to save the SAS94M0_SVC_XMIT file.
- Follow the instructions in SAS Note
2995: "Instructions for downloading replacement z/OS modules stored in XMIT format" to move the XMIT file to your z/OS system and create a new partitioned data set (PDS) that will contain the replacement load module for the SAS SVC.
- Copy this module to the location and name that you chose for the SAS SVC when you installed SAS. It must be the same name and location.
If SAS/ACCESS to DB2 RRS authentication still does not work after you have implemented the
new SAS 9.4 TS1M0 or later SVC, see SAS Note 51267: "Running z/OS V2R1 while accessing DB2 might result in errors."
